Located at American Legion Post #28, the Spartanburg Chapel is a dependency of St John of the Ladder Orthodox Church (SJOTL). Its primary aim is to develop a full-fledged parish that can serve the Spartanburg area (skipping the mission phase).

 

Members of SJOTL and new visitors living in the Spartanburg area are encouraged to attend and help grow the community. Its second purpose is to address overcrowding at SJOTL's main location and allow for more growth as we continue to welcome new converts.

 

The Chapel will hold Divine Liturgy regularly on Sundays at 9:30am and occasionally for major feasts, served by clergy from SJOTL. We hope to develop the chapel community over the course of 3-5 years and bring on a full-time priest to serve the new parish.
